GULF STREAM / CHART 001

GULF STREAM

THERE IS NO WAITING ROOM, TRANSACTIONS FLOW STRAIGHT TO THE NEXT LEADER.

An experiment in leader schedules, forwarding, and the art of not standing around.

FORWARDING FIELD EPOCH 612 / SLOT RUNNER
GULF STREAM / CURRENT STATUS
schedule known ahead
mempool none
forwarding to next leaders
waiting room not found
*Visual illustration — not live telemetry
01 // THE THESIS

THE POOL WAS ALWAYS A WORKAROUND.

A mempool exists because nobody knows who will produce the next block, so every transaction is told to everyone and left to wait. If the next producer is known in advance, the waiting pool stops being necessary. You do not shout into a room. You hand it to the person whose turn is coming.

SENT → FORWARDED → LED
02 // INTERACTIVE SCHEDULE ENGINE

SET THE STAKE. WATCH WHERE IT FLOWS.

VALIDATOR STAKE TABLE MAX 8 NODE UNITS
Validator Name Stake Weight Slot Share
SIMULATED TRANSACTION DISPATCHER SLOT: 0
Tx Status
IDLE
Target Leader
--
Forwarded To (+1/+2)
--
Blockhash Expiry
--

Same seed, same stakes, same schedule. That is the whole trick.

COMPUTED LEADER SCHEDULE STRIP (64 SLOTS / 4 SLOTS PER TURN)
Clarification: This is a simplified client-side model. Solana derives its real leader schedule differently, real slot times vary around the 400 ms target, and this demo reads nothing from any network. Everything runs client-side using the Web Crypto API; send nothing the visitor types to a server.
03 // ARCHITECTURE

NO POOL. JUST A SCHEDULE.

01 — THE SCHEDULE

FIXED IN ADVANCE

Leaders for an epoch are fixed ahead of time, weighted by stake. Anyone on the network can compute the exact slot schedule independently.

02 — THE FORWARD

DIRECT ROUTING

Transactions go to the current leader and the next few upcoming leaders, rather than being gossiped to everybody across a global waiting room.

03 — THE EXPIRY

BOUNDED LIFESPAN

Each transaction names a recent blockhash. After roughly 150 blocks (~60 seconds), if unconfirmed, it is no longer valid and simply drops.

SCHEDULE + FORWARD → NO MEMPOOL
WHAT GULF STREAM DOES NOT DO

Forwarding does not guarantee inclusion. Leaders still buffer, prioritise by fee, and drop transactions under load. A dropped transaction must be resent before it expires. Gulf Stream is not consensus, does not order transactions, does not make them private, and does not remove MEV. It removes the protocol-wide public waiting pool, nothing more.

04 // DIAGNOSTICS

WHERE IS THE MEMPOOL.

gulf-cli v1.0.0 — bash
$ gulf mempool --show
error: no such pool
hint: try `gulf leaders --next 3`

> where is my transaction waiting?
it isn't.
> then where is it?
ahead of you.
*Fictional CLI mockup for illustrative purposes.
05 // PRINCIPLES

RULES OF THE CURRENT.

01. If you know who is next, tell them first.
02. A queue nobody can see is still a queue. Say so.
03. Forwarded is not confirmed.
04. Everything expires. Plan for it.
05. Go with the schedule.
06 // THE ARTIFACT

GULF STREAM / $GULF

Gulf Stream is a community-driven Solana meme coin inspired by leader schedules and the idea of sending things where they are needed next. The token is the cultural artifact. The current is the story.

Important: Gulf Stream is a community-driven meme coin concept, not a product. It is not affiliated with Solana's core developers and does not forward, route, accelerate or prioritise anyone's transactions.
